A new family, a new story

In 2018, the Chazelay was taken over by the Sésia-Blanchet family who fell in love 💘 with the resort 30 years ago, as well as with the Chazelay, which has seen each member of the two families grow up.

Caroline Sésia-Blanchet and Axel Blanchet are devoted to building the family- and festive-values behind its success 🏆, which have made it an institution in Serre-Chevalier since 1964.

Accessible to skiers and pedestrians, the Chazelay is a restaurant ideally located at the foot of the Casse du Bœuf chairlift. Its large sunny terrace ☀️ offers a clear view of the charms of an exceptional wooded environment.

The Chef offers an a la carte menu: starters, salads, traditional dishes, vegetarian dishes, mountain-style dishes 🏔️ such as “la boite chaude”, tartiflette, tartimorille and tarticèpes, and lamb chops from the Hautes Alpes region. But, also “Made in Chaz” specialities and more international dishes inspired by Asian cuisine.

Our crêpe chef from Brittany will delight you with his savoury gluten-free galettes and sweet crêpes 🥞 the secret of which only he knows.

A day that follows the rhythm of the specialities of the Chaz and the region: the magnificent Viennese hot chocolate ☕, mulled wine, local beers and wines, organic fruit juices, and liqueurs made in the distilleries down in the valley.

Nothing but deliciously authentic ! 💪

Happy Hour from 6 pm – 8 pm and a similar spirit in the evening: local, special, and traditional in a festive atmosphere  🍾.
